The NHS have agreed to allocate non-recurrent funding for use in the current financial year to the County Council to ease the burden on the health and care system. In discussion with Leicester and Leicestershire and Rutland NHS the Chief Executive and Director of Corporate Resources have agreed to allocate this funding for the purpose of workforce stabilisation, providing headroom funding to the local care workforce to help address capacity by incentivising workers to remain employed over the winter period when demand is expected to increase. The level of funding allocated to be determined by the level of take up.
