Working for Everyone in NW Loughborough

Hello,

Firstly, thank you to all those who supported me in the last County Council Election.  It is a privilege to continue to work for you.

If you live in the north west of Loughborough the chances are that it's my job to represent you in Leicestershire.  My division includes the Thorpe Acre, Booth Wood, the Ashby Road Estate and students on north side of the University campus (see Student Village section).

My main interests at County Hall are described in my Annual Reports which you will find on http://www.leics.gov.uk/hunt.  You will also find my official register of material interests and a long standing personal website http:// www.garendon.freeuk.com .

In addition I have a Facebook page called www.facebook.com/maxhuntcc

I love our county and visit a lot by bike. I have cycled round the whole county twice from Belvoir in the north to Market Harborough in the south and the National Forest in the west - about 140miles. .

Locally, I started a £10,000 plus project, called Thorpe Acre 2000 and I welcome any new ideas to improve the area.  I have lead the objections to the development of Garendon Park and appeared at the Appeal against the proposal to build an incinerator at Junction 23.  This was rejected by the Planning Inspectorate acting for the Secretary of State.

I have wide personal interests including the prosperity of our town, co-operative enterprises, local history, running and cycling. I am a member of the Leics & Rutland Wildlife Trust.

I have two grown up children who attended Rawlins and Burleigh Colleges. My daughter is an Assistant Head in a school in Greater Manchester and my son works for Ecotricity, the renewable energy company in Gloucestershire.

With kind regards,
