01/12/2020 - Community Fund - Increase in size and maximum award value. ref: 11069    For Determination

To fund community and other organisations, with a focus on supporting voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, to support and deliver services to people in Leicestershire. Local (and national) research suggests that there remains a need for financial and associated support for VCSE organisations, particularly funding for core organisational running costs. For instance, many VCSE organisations have been unable to rely on income from sources such as charity shops, community cafes, and venue room hire.

To increase the size of the Community Fund by £600,000, and to increase the maximum value of any one award from the Community Fund up to £15,000 (from £10,000). Such funds to be earmarked for supporting organisations within the County, in particular voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, to manage the impacts of the pandemic.
