Following concerns raised from Network Rail the proposed restrictions seek to mitigate the impact of potentially obstructive and dangerous on-street parking around the level crossing barriers to benefit safety for all road users in this location.

11/02/2020 - Proposed car park order for County Hall Campus, Glenfield ref: 10838    Recommendations Approved

To better manage the County Hall campus parking restrictions to be enforced an off-street car park order has been devised. The car park order will allow for the enforcement of restrictions including those that currently have not been due to limitations of the current restrictions.

04/02/2020 - Proposed reduction of 60mph speed limit to 50mph on B6047 and C4308 ref: 10833    Recommendations Approved

All County roads that are assigned the national speed limit have been reviewed to identify those with an accident rate higher than the national average. As a result of this review the B6047 and C4308 has been identified to have a total number of accidents above the national average. Therefore, in order to increase general safety and reduce the accident rate, the County Council proposes to reduce the speed limit from 60mph to 50mph.

The restrictions will ensure safe use and passage of vehicles in the vicinity of the turning area.

04/02/2020 - Proposed speed reduction of the existing 60mph limit to 50mph, Croxton / Waltham ref: 10830    Recommendations Approved

All County roads that are assigned the national speed limit have been reviewed to identify those with an accident rate higher than the national average. As a result of this review the A607 (between Waltham on the Wolds and Croxton Kerrial) in addition to Green Lane, Eaton, has been indentified to have a total number of accidents above the national average. Therefore, in order to increase general safety and reduce the accident rate, the County Council proposes to reduce the speed limit from 60mph to 50mph.

07/02/2020 - Proposed New Bus Stop with a Shelter on The Nook, Anstey ref: 10828    Recommendations Approved

To install two new bus stops in Anstey, one on Standon Road, which will also become a timing point, and one on Cropston Road. The removal of the existing bus stop/ timing point on Leicester Road with a view to alleviating the tailbacks onto The Nook and the subsequent gridlock cause when a bus waits too long at this stop. These proposals are in the interest of road safety.
