Purpose:

The junction of the A6 Loughborough Road and Bentley Road is signalised. Some parking occurs approximately halfway along Bentley Road and when traffic is queuing at the traffic signals during peak times this parking can prevent traffic that has turned into Bentley Road from getting past causing traffic to queue on the A6. Additionally, any parked vehicles are largely on the footway to try and ensure that they do not obstruct the flow of traffic; this can impede pedestrians from getting past on the footway.

Decision:

To approve the implementation of a Traffic Regulation Order to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions on the length of Bentley Road and on its junctions with Loughborough Road (A6) and Sycamore Road.
