Purpose:

To provide a wider footway along a section of Grange Lane to enable the safe passage of pedestrians and to stop the current over riding of the existing footway when two vehicles pass by imposing a single file priority system.

Decision:

To implement the widening of the existing footway from one of the properties eastward to the junction with Court Road to form a Priority Narrowing System along that section of Grange Lane, Thurnby.

Alternative options considered:

The scheme has been subject to a public consultation which prompted comments/objections. All views have been fully considered before a decision was taken on how the scheme should proceed.
