1.Crown and CF Construction have both performed satisfactorily. Allroads has needed to take some minor corrective actions to improve their signing and guarding, however each action has been rectified swiftly and satisfactorily. Leicester City Council is the main user of Allroads for minor civils works.
2.There is a condition in place between the County Council and the Contractor that the contract may be extended in increments of 12 months up to a maximum of 24 months. However, the Contract has only been extended by the minimum length of time it is expected to take to get a new “Framework” contract in place.
3.Leicester City Council has utilised all of the framework contractors apart from Crown.
4.Therefore, all 5 of the contractors have been used through the contract.
To award 5 months extension to the Minor Civils Works Contracts:
- Lots 1 to Premier, Allroads, CF, Crown and North Midlands; and,
- Lot 2 to North Midlands, Crown and CF
Both contracts will run from 3rd January 2019 to 1st June 2019.
It was considered whether a new contract should be put in place. It has now been decided that the new contract shall come into place from 1st June 2019.
