The County Council currently purchases all Permanent and Temporary Road Signs through ESPO procured contracts. These contracts come to an end on the 31st March 2019. The current contracts are unwieldy and in need of a complete refresh to make them workable. ESPO was not willing to undertake this work at a reasonable price so it was decided to carry out this work in-house. The new framework contracts are intended to start on1st April and will be for two years with potential extensions to four years.


To appoint the following companies to the Traffic Signs Supply Contract 2019:
Lot 1 – Permanent Traffic Signs – Hirst Signs Ltd, Mallatite Ltd, Nuneaton Signs Ltd, Tennants UK Ltd
Lot 2 – Temporary Traffic Signs – Barhale Construction PLC, Screenprint

Alternative options considered:

The option of whether to accept or not Variant Tenders was considered with Central Procurement prior to issuing the tender documents. It was decided not to permit Variant Tenders.
