As part of the new development, access needed to be maintained and so some parking was prohibited. The new business units have been in operation for some time, and as there have been no reports of parking obstructing their access/egress it was considered that this area could be left unrestricted. This will reduce the impact of the “no waiting at any time” restrictions elsewhere. With regard to parking at the end of the cul-de-sac on Charlotte Street, parking on the footpath should be strongly discouraged. There is additional parking, albeit time-limited, on Charlotte Street.
To implement waiting restrictions on Jubilee Street, Melton Mowbray.
Initially, it was advertised with some of the no waiting removed on Charlotte Street and without a loading bay. It was then re-advertised with more of Charlotte Street being freed up for time limited on-street parking and a loading bay at the rear of the new units.
